Ohio is a Piano!

Huh?

Most maps of data use color and other visual variables. This one uses sound. A typical piano has 88 keys, and Ohio has 88 counties; thus, every county can have its own key! The way piano keys are assigned to counties depends on data. Choose a Census attribute below, and counties will be assigned piano keys. The higher the pitch, the higer the attribute value. Map colors indicate the black and white keys of a piano. Play around and see how the geography of the music changes!
